Day 1  Shanghai/Urumqi by Flight                              

Flight schedule will be confirmed at the time of making reservation. Upon arrival, you can go to the International Bazzar by yourself. Overnight in Urumqi.

Urumqi Grand International Bazaar:  An essential place to experience the life of the minority region, offering all kinds of ethnic food and souvenirs; dinner show is a highlights, a cast of 300 singers and dancers from Uygur, Kazak, Turkoman and Han people.

Day 2   Urumqi/Burjin by road (800KM,11 Hours)  (B/L/D)

Today we are going to drive 760km to reach Burjin, a must-stop county before entering the Kanas Lake Reserve which is generally considered the highlight of of the trip for many of the travelers.Overnight in Burjin.

Day 3   Burjin/Kanas by road (180KM,3 Hours)/Jiadengyu  (B/L/D)

Visit famous Kanas Lake, reputed as one of the most beautiful sceneries in China. Overnight in Jiadengyu.

Optional Tour in Kanas (cost excluded): Crusing in the Kanas Lake(RMB120/p), Rafting(RMB200/p), Half day tour to Baihaba Village(RMB210/p)

Kanas Lake:  A lake hiding among the forest in remote mountains of Xinjiang, remains almost intact, pure and fabulous plase converging colourful folk customs and spectacular landscapes. Kanas in Mongolian means "lake in canyon". The lake is nestled in the deep forests and mountains of Altay. Legend has it that huge lake monsters live in the deep water of the lake, a Chinese version of "Nessie" - one of the reasons attracting tourists.

Baihaba Village –A beautiful village in West China

It is on Aertai mountain next to Kazakhstan. The silver birches beside the fences, the wooden houses, the women fetching water and the cowboys illustrate a warm atmosphere in Baihaba Village, which shows the villagers’ enthusiasm for life in China's western region.

Day 4   Kanas/Burjin by road (180KM,3 Hours)   (B/L/D)

One day tour to Hemu Village, Tuwa Family visiting (RMB30/p cost excluded). Overnight in Burjin.

Hemu Village: a small village within the Kanas Lake area in the north of Xinjiang province, enjoy the untraversed snow mountain, icy lake, grassland and primitive Tuwa minority village whom lived there thousand years, there is the only settlement space for the left more than 2000 Tuwa nationality people live in China, old and traditional religion, language and custom of Tuwa, which merges into culture of local nomadic minorities such as Kazak,ect, it has formed unique grassland nomadic culture and special flavour and a magnificent scene of ecology.

Day 5   Burjin/Ghost City/Urumqi by road (720KM,10 Hours)   (B/L/D)

Drive 650 km to Karamayi and visit Ghost City. Karamayi is an important point for you to have an acquaintance of the development of Chinese petroleum industry. Overnight in Urumqi.

Ghost City:  A special work of nature, which is a Yardan Iandform shaped by wind erosion and looks like ruined castles or various kinds of animals. When the day falls, the furious wind blow woldly in the city, which sounds just like angry ghost’s wailing, so the local Kazakh people call it “Ghost City”.

Day 6   Urumqi/Turpan/Urumqi by road (186KM,3 Hours)   (B/L/D)

The total driving distance is 200 km. We'll visit Jiaohe Ancient City, Uighur Ancient Village,Karaz Well, Flaming Mounatain,Grape Valley. Overnight in Urumqi.

Jiaohe Ruins:  The Jiaohe Ruins is the place of ancient Chinese ruins found in the Yarnaz Valley, 10 km west of the city of Turpan. The city of Jiaohe was the capital of the Anterior Jushi Kingdom, concurrent with the Han Dynasty, Jin Dynasty and Southern and Northern Dynasties in China. It was finally abandoned after its destruction during an invasion by the Mongols led by Genghis Khan in the 13th century.

Karez Well:  It is a loacal Turfan water system, called karez well in Turfan. It is a qanat system that has been regarded as one of the three greatest water projects of ancient China together with the Du Jiang Yan Irrigation System, and the Grand Canal.

Flaming Mountains:  The Flaming Mountains are barren, eroded, red sandstone hills in the east of the city of Turfan. The mountain climate is harsh and the temperature is extremely hot in the summer, the hottest site in China.

Grape Valley:  Situated in the Flaming Mountain 13 km east of Turpan, the Grape Valley is 8km long from north to south and 0.5km wide. This green paradise of 400 hektares is covered with layer upon layer of grapes.

Day 7   Urumqi/Heavenly Lake/Urumqi by road (120KM,1.5 Hours)   (B/L)

Driving about 2 Hours to visit the pristine Heavenly Lake. Later afternoon, fligjt back to Shanghai(flight schedule will be guaranteed at the time of making reservation).

Heavenly Lake: Nestling high in the magnificent Tianshan Mountains; on clear days, the snow-capped peaks glistens in the sun and finely contrasts with blue lake water and steep forested hills.
