Day 1  Shanghai/Urumqi by Flight                              

Flight schedule will be confirmed at the time of making reservation. Upon arrival, you can go to the International Bazzar by yourself.  Overnight in Urumqi.

 

Urumqi Grand International Bazaar:  An essential place to experience the life of the minority region, offering all kinds of ethnic food and souvenirs; dinner show is a highlights, a cast of 300 singers and dancers from Uygur, Kazak, Turkoman and Han people.

 

Day 2   Urumqi/Kashgar by flight (1580KM,2 Hours)  (B/L/D)

Mornight flight to Kashgar (flight schedule will be guaranteed at the time of making reservatiom). Drive to Dawakun Desert and Kalakuli Lake. Overnight in Kashgar.

 

Dawakun Desert:  is located at the rim of Taklamakan Desert and about 110 kilometers away from Kashgar City. Besides lake water, desert, the newly-built villas of European style, houses and parks with Uygur nationality feature are nestled on the banks of those lakes.

 

The Lake Karakuli ( the Lake Karakol ): At the base of Muztagh Ata (7,545 m ) sits Lake Karakol (3,770 m ), a majestic blue glacial lake that is fed by the mammoth, century-old glaciers above.

 

Day 3   Kashgar/Urumqi by flight (1580KM,2 Hours)  (B/L/D)

Sightseeing on Id Kah Mosque, Abakh Khoja Tomb, Kashgar Old Town and Grant East Gate Bazzar. Evening flight back to Urumqi. Overnight in Urumqi.

 

Idgar Mosque: The largest mosque in China and the religious center of Kashgar; first built in 1442 with a history of over 500 years; amazingly popular among the Muslims in Xinjiang; gatherings and festivals are often held here.

 

Abakh Hoja Tomb: The most magnificent tomb in Kashgar; a well-preserved Islamic architectural complex; served as the family tomb of Abakh Hoja, a powerful ruler of Kashgar in the 17th century.

 

Kashgar East Gate Bazaar: More than 2,000 years old, this bazaar is the biggest international trade market in the northwest region of China; it features the most abundant goods, the lowest prices, and the most buyers

 

Day 4   Urumqi/Turpan/Urumqi by road (186KM,3 Hours)   (B/L/D)

The total driving distance is 200 km. We'll visit Jiaohe Ancient City, Uighur Ancient Village,Karaz Well, Flaming Mounatain,Grape Valley. Overnight in Urumqi.

 

Jiaohe Ruins:  The Jiaohe Ruins is the place of ancient Chinese ruins found in the Yarnaz Valley, 10 km west of the city of Turpan. The city of Jiaohe was the capital of the Anterior Jushi Kingdom, concurrent with the Han Dynasty, Jin Dynasty and Southern and Northern Dynasties in China. It was finally abandoned after its destruction during an invasion by the Mongols led by Genghis Khan in the 13th century.

Karez Well:  It is a loacal Turfan water system, called karez well in Turfan. It is a qanat system that has been regarded as one of the three greatest water projects of ancient China together with the Du Jiang Yan Irrigation System, and the Grand Canal.

Flaming Mountains:  The Flaming Mountains are barren, eroded, red sandstone hills in the east of the city of Turfan. The mountain climate is harsh and the temperature is extremely hot in the summer, the hottest site in China.

Grape Valley:  Situated in the Flaming Mountain 13 km east of Turpan, the Grape Valley is 8km long from north to south and 0.5km wide. This green paradise of 400 hektares is covered with layer upon layer of grapes.

 

Day 5   Urumqi/Heavenly Lake/Urumqi by road (120KM,1.5 Hours)   (B/L/D)

Driving about 2 Hours to visit the pristine Heavenly Lake. Overnight in Urumqi

 

Heavenly Lake: Nestling high in the magnificent Tianshan Mountains; on clear days, the snow-capped peaks glistens in the sun and finely contrasts with blue lake water and steep forested hills.

 

Day 6   Urumqi/Shangahi by flight (around 5 Hours)   (B)

After breakfast, free time by yourself. Then, Flight back to Shanghai(the flight schedule will be guaranteed at the time of making reservation).
